We can handle millions of responses, provide unlimited reports for thousands of users, and display results in any language...all in real time.

Enterprise-level Reporting

Report Menu

The Perceptyx report methodology provides full report access, delivered through a web interface, which enables real-time access to the numeric and graphic representations of the data. The Report Menu provides a common interface that contains all data available for viewing by any designated user. Access to all of the reports can be provided as soon as the survey is launched. In most reports, the graphic histograms are hyperlinks that perform automatic filtering of the data. Data filtering is dynamic and cumulative, so queries can be formed by any combination of demographic survey response or both.

Privileges for viewing reports can be configured for each user to allow complete access or limit what is available. In other words, user views can be configured to restrict access to their pre-defined demographic subset(s), so that each user will see the information specific to their area of responsibility.

Diagnostic Reports

The Report Menu contains an entire suite of diagnostic reports with single click access. Each report's display can be prioritized with a single click by various criteria. With an additional click, the report will provide deeper insight by drilling into the data. Verbatim comments are word counted, scored by specific themes and categorized for efficient analysis in real-time. All of the Perceptyx real-time, interactive HTML reports found in the Report Menu are generated on-the-fly and include sorting and filtering functions for one-click drill down into the data.

Causal Analysis

An extensive Ad Hoc reporting capability is built into the Report Menu. All users with access to the Report Menu can filter the data by any combination of demographic options combined with any combination of responses to the survey.

The filtering and segment capability is applied to the data available to the user based on the permissions that have been set for that user. Once a filter has been performed, the user can name and save an unlimited number of their filtered-selections for later access. Any report, including presentation slides, can then be viewed with any saved filter.

Real-time segmentation of any demographic, survey response or combination of demographics and responses can be used to quickly and easily identify key linked data and drivers of perception and performance.

Compare any segment demographic against the remainder of the organization to reveal key differences that are driving engagement.

Custom Presentations

Managers will have access to a Report Menu that includes a Manager Toolkit for easy access to all of the presentation and action planning tools, including a Leader's Guide for presenting the results to their teams.

The Manager Toolkit includes an executive summary for each manager with an overview of their results, a preconfigured slide presentation that is ready to use, a matching leader's guide with details and explanations for each slide in the presentation.

Since all of the reports in the Manager Toolkit are created with real-time queries directly to the database, they reflect current data of all the respondents that are appropriate for that manager. Furthermore, since all of the reports are based on the demographic data supplied by the client just before the launch, all of the reports are completely accurate and specific to the employees' positions at that time.

Comment Analysis

Lexical & Theme Frequency Reports

The real-time filtering capabilities of the Report Menu, coupled with comment reports, provide a powerful comment analysis tool. Every word of every comment that employees provide is counted and used to automatically group comments by theme.

With the Lexical Analysis Report, users can search for comments for particular words of phrases or just look at what words and phrases are most commonly being written by the employees. The Theme Frequency Report groups are all comments customizable themes of what the comment was written about and then displays the number of comments by specific question asked. With a single click on any of the totals, the system will then display all of the comments for review.

Every word of every comment is counted. The most common occurring words and phrases are grouped for quick access.

Action Planning

Included in each online Report Menu is a downloadable action-planning worksheet. Manager-selected issues are preloaded with potential solutions so that action-planning methodology can be consistent for all managers. An online improvement-tracking system will also be available for managers to be used in conjunction with, or in lieu of, separate systems.

Managers can record their anticipated wins/improvements, and those wins will be rolled up into the reporting engine for review by their project & executive teams. Online Action Planning is available to each Report Menu User.

Linkage Analysis

Almost 35 years ago, some of the first studies were published exploring employees’ perceptions of service climate in their unit and the actual service ratings provided by customers; This research was labeled “linkage analysis”. Multiple research studies (both within organizations and across organizations) have shown a relationship between employee opinion data and multiple important business outcomes: customer satisfaction ratings, customer retention, financial performance, safety, and employee retention. This more strategic use of employee surveys was a deliberate move away from employee satisfaction and a move towards greater business relevance and impact.

In today’s world of “big data” and hyper-competition, this powerful methodology is even more valuable. Linkage analysis can assist with issue prioritization by helping to pinpoint the key drivers of important business outcomes that will have the biggest return for the organization and it can help build a strong business case for regularly assessing employee engagement and effectiveness in your environment.

Linkage analyses may be conducted to identify survey measures most strongly related to key outcomes such as:

  • Customer Satisfaction/Customer Outcomes (e.g., overall satisfaction, ratings of specific attributes, intent to purchase more, intent to recommend; outcome measures – retention, breadth of purchases, customer complaints, new business).
  • Operational Outcomes (e.g., productivity/efficiency measures, quality measures, voluntary turnover, absenteeism, sick time, safety/injury incidence rates).
  • Financial Performance/Shareholder Value Outcomes (e.g., revenue, same-store sales growth, gross margin, profitability measures).

While Employee Engagement has been shown to be a driver of many important outcomes, research indicates that the key drivers of any outcome are likely to vary by industry, company, and strategy. Business strategy and context should be considered, with different drivers expected for field, production, and corporate. While there may be core survey content, a tailored, customized approach to survey design and linkage research is more effective. The employee survey itself needs to be designed with the end in mind; it is important to write items about what happens in the situation, rather than feelings.

While linkage analyses can be done after the survey results are in, advance planning and appropriate measurement are both essential to ensuring optimal ability to link survey data to business outcomes. A critical issue with linkage analyses is the availability of appropriate metrics at the unit of analysis.

Results of linkage and driver analyses can be delivered in multiple formats. The results should be communicated in a way that people understand and that allows them to quickly prioritize the important issues.

Many of our clients, for instance, elect to embed key driver results in survey reports to guide managers’ interpretation of survey results. The linkage model can serve as a basis for communicating survey results and the results are translated into specific actions that managers can take within their work units to drive change. Recommended actions are most powerful and relevant when they are based on the best practices of high performing groups in the company.

Executive Summaries

The Perceptyx approach is designed to do more than just measure and an integral part of the process is the synthesis, analysis and communication of results in a way that equips leadership with a more complete understanding of the unique perspectives of the employees.

Executive Summaries communicate the results in a way that provide a clear way forward, in terms that resonate with leadership by linking responses to organizational effectiveness and key strategic initiatives. The real-time reporting capabilities often enable analysis to be presented to the senior-most leaders before the survey's scheduled close date. This ensures leadership is aware of the highlights and opportunities emerging within the data so they can do what they do best – lead the organization towards fulfilling its mission by communicating a targeted response shortly after the survey’s close.

Survey & Report Menu Branding

Each survey deployment can be branded so that the process communicates the right message to every employee. Every Perceptyx deployment can contain as many different brands as necessary. Some organizations have different brands for different parts of the organization.

Creating a co-branded look and feel that incorporates two or even three brands into one reporting platform is easily done. Branding for the survey effort combined with a consistent brand for the organization can include a unique branding for each business unit or operating company. This enables organizations to communicate just the right message to employees - that they matter and their opinions matter.
